Shane and some buddies went to Kansas the week after Thanksgiving for THE BIG HUNTING TRIP. They left on Monday, scouted on Tuesday, and 2 of the guys (including hubby) shot their deer Wednesday morning (opening day), the other 2 guys shot their deer on Thursday. Therefore, they decided to head home on Friday.
The deer scored 181 5/8" and has 13 point. My first comment "We don't have a wall big enough for the deer head and yours!!!" He was so excited and can't wait to hang it in the . . . OFFICE. By the way the smile has not worn off yet.
Does he want to go back to Kansas and get another one next year - NO - he wants to go pheasant hunting. Boys and their hobbies. We have to love them.

Trunk or Treat . . .
Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat. My little batmen may not know this popular phrase but they learned if you hold out your pumpkin you get candy, candy, and more candy. Sorry about the picture of Hunter but trying to keep this little boy still is impossible. FBC (our church) had a trunk or treat for all the children, instead of children going to different houses like we did when we were children, you have a general location such as a church or school and everyone parks their vehicle and opens their trunk or lower tailgates and distribute candy from their - you can decorate the vehicle or not. It's a lot of fun and you get to see the other children dressed up. This has always been an issue since both Shane & I enjoy taking the kids trick or treating but also like giving the candy out to the neighborhood kids. I'll post more pics of trunk or treat soon.

It's been awhile . . .
since my last post - 5 months to be exact. I could say that I have been busy but I won't use that excuse. To start over and hopefully do a better job this time especially since my parents and in-laws have moved into the internet world and this way they can keep up with the boys more even though they are an hour to an hour and half away.
It's coming up Halloween and our FBC is doing a Trunk or Treat for local children. I really slacked this year in getting costumes so I took the easy way out and let Hunter & Mason pick out their costumes from Wal-Mart. I will wait until they are in costume to post what they are going to be, but Hunter is excited about it, he basically picked out his and Mason's.
This week has been a little chaotic, my sweet little monkey had an accident on Tuesday night that required a few stitches. Let's just say he had a face in with a 3ft drop and a cinder block and he lost.
As you can tell it did not phase him any. Mason is a happy little boy no matter what, as long as you are not touching his bo-bo. I'm also posting a few random shots of the cutie pies in my life - husband is not included.

First Time Blogger & T-Ball Season
This is new to me, so please offer any advice or ideas to layout, design, etc. . .
My boys are my treasure, joy, and struggle - I don't only mean the little ones either. Hunter is in his 2nd year of t-ball and Mason is in 2nd year of watching on the side lines, as you can tell he does not like the sidelines and wants to be in the middle of the action. I enlisted several to help contain him while I tried to capture a few photos of "The Great Coach" and his team.
